Year 3 Home Learning - 17/03/23

Task 1: Reading Comprehension

Read the Pharaoh’s Treasures text carefully and then answer the retrieval and inference questions. As an extension you can write your own Ancient Egypt glossary. Self-assess using the answer sheets provided.

Task 2: Maths

Complete the task sheet which features questions on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. You can self-assess using the answer sheet.

Task 3: Science Project.

In Science this term we have been learning all about our bones and teeth. So far we have learnt about the shape of our teeth and set up a science experiment investigating the  damage sugary drinks can do to our teeth. We have then learnt all about the bones in the human body and how our skeleton is different to other animals. We would like you to create something that shows us what you know about the topic so far. You could create a poster all about how to keep our teeth clean, a model of your teeth or our skeleton, a PowerPoint or a poem. It is up to you and you can be as creative as you like. We would love to see all of your creations so you can bring them in to school with you on Monday or email them to us.

Task 4: PE

Complete a workout by spelling out your full name using the spell your workout sheet attached below. Once you have completed your name, think of some things from Ancient Egypt and spell those out too.

Task 5: Other activities

  • Read some of your home reading book or a book of your choice
  • Online maths games (there are links to these on the bottom of the Year 3 page on the website)
  • You could complete one of the Ancient Egyptian homework projects that you haven’t completed yet and bring this with you on Wednesday.

Have a lovely weekend
