Pupil Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

What is the Pupil Premium?

The pupil premium is a government initiative that targets extra money at pupils entitled to free school meals (FSM), looked after children and service children, and have provided a fixed amount of money for schools per pupil based on the number of pupils registered for FSM over a rolling six year period, known as Ever 6 (approximately 6% of Straits pupils are classed as Ever 6).

Schools will be held accountable for how they have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families. From September 2012, we have been required to publish information about how we have used the Premium, ensuring that parents, and others, are made fully aware of the attainment and progress of pupils covered by the Premium and the extra support that they receive.

The documents below summarise how the school has spent the Premium along with evaluations of the impact it has had on pupil's learning.
