Care Clubs

Opening hours and fees

The Straits ‘out-of-school’ Clubs are open every school day.

N.B. there will be no ‘After school’ club on the days that school closes early e.g. the last day of term. Parents will be notified in advance when this happens.

 

Breakfast Club

Monday to Friday from 7.30am until 8.55am

Fees

7.30am until 8.55am: £5.75

8.00am until 8.55am: £4.60    

                                                             

After School Club

Monday to Thursday from 3.25pm until 6.00pm

Friday from 3.25pm until 5.30pm

Fees

3.25pm until 4.30pm: £4.60

3.25pm until 5.30pm: £6.90

5.30pm until 6.00pm: £8.05

N.B. The cost of all refreshments is included in the fees.

 

Children that are collected from clubs taking place school that finish at 4.00pm will be charged £2.30 if they stay at afterschool club until 4.30pm and £4.60 if they stay till 5.30pm.

Children that are collected from clubs in school that finish at 4.15pm-4.30pm and then stay at afterschool club till 5.30pm will be charged £4.60. (Children will still be charged £1.15 extra if they stay 5.30pm -6.00pm.)

How our club works

The emphasis is on play and leisure rather than education but there is an opportunity to look at homework as well. A list of structured play activities for the after school club will be given to your child at the beginning of each half-term. Staffing at clubs is 1 adult to 10 children for older children and for Reception the ratio is 1 adult to 8 children.

How to Book

  • All bookings are made online via the Tucasi Cashless System (Scopay)
  • You are able to book and pay via the app (or online) for all Breakfast and After School sessions, including the sessions which follow Activity Clubs (i.e. 4.30 - 5.30 and 4.30 - 6pm).
  • You have a window up to 11.59pm on Tuesdays to book for the following week.
  • You may book as far in advance as you wish.
  • Places for both clubs are limited to 45 (room capacity regulations) so it is "first come, first served".
  • You need to make a payment before a booking is accepted (unless your account is in credit)
  • Before your child/children start attending our clubs we ask that you fill in a registration and parental contract form and hand into the school office or give to the club manager.  
  • If your child does not attend the clubs and has been booked in, no refund will be given, as all the staffing will have already been arranged for that week
