Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas Meal
On Wednesday 18th December, children are invited to wear a ‘Christmas’ jumper (other uniform as normal) to celebrate and raise funds for Save the Children, Shelter and The Black Country Food Bank.
We have set ourselves the challenge of trying to raise £400 for these charities and if each child donated £1.00 then we would reach this total – donations should be given to your child’s class teacher on the day.
Our Christmas Meal will also take place on this day, please order this via the normal hot meals ordering system by Friday 6th December 2024.
Christmas Discos - Wednesday 18th December
Our Christmas Discos will be held on Wednesday 18th December at the following times:
No tickets are required for this event as children will pay on the main door as they enter. The price of entry will be £3.00 and this will include refreshments. All children will be dismissed from the back of the hall.
Christmas parties – Thursday 19th December
Our Christmas party day, for each year group, is on Thursday 19th December. The children will not be required to bring any additional money or party food to school as they will have a hot dinner or a packed lunch and then school will provide a ‘Christmas treat’. They may wear their own clothes on this day and please remember we finish at 2.00pm on this day.
Hamper Donation Day and Christmas Raffle
On Friday 6th December, our children will be invited to wear their own clothes and make a donation towards our Christmas Hampers. Donations requested are – chocolate, bottles (wine or soft drinks), biscuits, cakes, bath/beauty products or toys (new and in their original packaging).
Helpers – If any parent is free on Friday 6th December at 9.00am to help make up the hampers, it would be greatly appreciated.
From Monday 9th December, we will be selling raffle tickets for our Christmas Hamper Raffle – a letter will be sent home inviting you to purchase some tickets and they will also be on sale at Christmas performances.
It has been wonderful to see how our community has supported fundraising events this half term – as always, your generosity amazes us. Both the Black Country Food Bank and the Beacon Centre wish us to pass on their heartfelt ‘thanks’ for supporting them. It was lovely to see the school become ‘colourful’ for the day and the children enjoyed a range of activities as part of our ‘Bright for Sight’ day.
Children in Need
On Friday 15th November, we will holding a ‘Gladiators’ Day’ for Children in Need. We are inviting children to wear their ‘gladiator’ clothes – a costume or sports gear. The children will also be participating in a ‘gladiators’ assault course in the hall, throughout the day.
To raise funds for Children in Need, we are asking that children make a donation (minimum of £1.00) for taking part.
