Celebrating Mental health week lets young people know that how they feel matters and they deserve to feel supported.
Protecting our mental health is easier than you might think. We can all do it every day, and with simple activities that help us feel OK, we’re better able to cope with life. It’s like brushing your teeth daily – important in preventing problems. It’s the same for our mental health. It can also be fun!
The theme for 2025 Know Yourself, Grow Yourself will put a spotlight on how we can build resilience, grow and develop by understanding who we are and what makes us tick.
The more we understand about ourselves, the better we're prepared to tackle life's ups and downs. Helping children understand and accept themselves, means they start to build self-awareness. This allows them to develop the skills they need to cope with what life throws at them.
During Children’s Mental Health Week we want to celebrate children and young people building resilience, embracing self-awareness and forming strong connections with others.

Useful websites and resources
To support our recent involvement in Children's Mental Health Week, we asked our children to celebrate themselves and what makes them special and unique. We asked them to send us a picture of them doing something they enjoy or an interest/hobby they have.
The picture could capture them enjoying an activity such as a sport, baking, sewing, reading, being an artist/musician/scientist - anything that celebrates what they enjoy doing!
