This term, our topic has been Natural Disasters. As part of our DT curriculum, the children worked hard over several weeks to design, plan and construct their very own volcano model. The children used cardboard to form the base of their volcano, before cutting and bending wire to build the main structure. Then, once the wire had been secured, the children added mod roc to add depth to their design. Later, they painted and added finishing effects to ensure their volcano looked authentic, using techniques such as dripping, flicking and dabbing. The results were fantastic!
